Virtual Fundraisers: 'Movathon' - Arravale Rovers, Tipperay Town

As part of Arravale Rovers main fundraiser for 2020 the club held a Moveathon. The club distributed sponsorship cards to captains and club members who completed a walk/run/cycle/swim on the weekend of December 19th or 20th.
Captains and other Movathon participates collected sponsorship both in person and through the Arravale Rovers Go Fund Me page. Over the course of several days, the captains were introduced over social media. All were welcome to take part.
The captains for the 2020 Movathon: Donough Leahy, Jack Lowry, Eddie Moroney, Annemarie O’Brien, Jamie O’Dea, Tom O’Donoghue, Claire O’Dwyer, Seán Ó Maolriain, Fergal O’Reilly, Dymphna Ryan, Johnny Ryan, Niall Sharpe
The Moveathon fundraiser was a roaring success with the final total just over €7,000 with a small amount of money still to come in. The winning captain was Donough Leahy with €1,203. Second place was Dymphna Ryan with €929 and third place was Annemarie Martin with €906.
A signed commemorative Tipp jersey was given to those who raised the most money. This was the juvenile winner: James Gleeson and adult coach: Eddie Moroney.
Honourable mentions for Seán Kinane, Seán O'Mahony, Ben Dudley, Tomás O'Connor, Jack O'Keeffe, Seán Lewis, Mark Ryan, Daniel and Adam Gleeson, Keegan O'Dea and Sean Kinane who all collected more than €100.
Arravale would like to Thanks to all of its supporters particularly those who collected and donated. It has been a superb effort and the club officers and committee are very thankful.
The funds raised will go towards development projects in Sean Treacy Park.
